Multidisciplinary Team of Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital (#DJMRH)’s Efforts in Action. A patient, who was undergoing chemotherapy for lung cancer and was under regular follow-up, presented with sudden onset breathing difficulty and signs of multi-organ failure.

She was in severe respiratory distress, with marked metabolic acidosis, acute kidney injury, and liver dysfunction. Following an urgent clinical assessment, she was diagnosed with cardiac tamponade.

An emergency USG-guided pericardiocentesis was promptly performed, along with comprehensive supportive care in the Medical ICU.

Kudos to the coordinated efforts of our multidisciplinary team, her condition gradually improved and was discharged with a smile on her face—a true testament to the power of teamwork!
