We are incredibly proud to share a major medical milestone at Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital (DJMRH). Our specialized Pulmonary and OT teams have successfully completed our 4th advanced Tracheal Stenting procedure!

A patient came to the hospital fighting Esophageal Cancer. The tumor was pressing hard from the outside against the windpipe (Mid Tracheal narrowing), causing severe swelling and making it incredibly difficult for them to breathe. Our doctors also noticed a groove and swelling on the back-side wall of the windpipe, which made them suspect a tiny tear or opening (Fistula) might be forming.

To save the patient’s airway and give them immediate relief, our team advised Tracheal Stenting—a highly delicate procedure where a tiny tube (stent) is placed inside the windpipe to keep it open.

This intricate procedure requires immense precision, quick thinking, and seamless teamwork. Huge congratulations to our stellar team:

  1. Dr. Karnail Singh (Pulmonologist): Leading the procedure with exceptional skill to safely open the airway.
  2. Dr. Sonali (Anaesthesiologist): Ensuring the patient remained completely safe, stable, and pain-free throughout the delicate process.
  3. Our Dedicated Pulmonary & OT Team: Working flawlessly in the Operation Theater to provide top-tier assistance and care.
